If you look around Titanstower.com, somewhere there's an interview with Wolfman and Perez about the dynamic between the different characters. Gar and Vic share the "mad scientist parent" thing. Meanwhile, both Gar and Nightwing connect on the level of both of them were sidekicks and were child heroes.

I find it kind'a sad that you don't learn so much about their past in the series. Because many only know the cartoon version =/
It's good to have friends that can realte to your experiensses(sp?) they always understand you the best =3 Still BB and Cy has a very good AND "odd" friendship, they also joke a lot with eatch other don't they?? *wink*
